Jean Terepka
Jean Ballard Terepka is an historian with specialties in American and African-American church history as well as music, art, and textile history. In addition, as a former independent school administrator and teacher, she writes about the history of schools and education in the United States.
Jean Ballard Terepka's articles have appeared in Historiographer, Journal of College Admissions and Independent School magazine. She recently delivered papers at conferences of the New York State Historical Association and the Association of Episcopal Historians and Archivists. She wrote the fiftieth anniversary history of the Canterbury Choral Society and has been writing the program notes for all Canterbury concerts for more than a decade.
A life-long New Yorker, Jean Ballard Terepka is Archivist at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in New York City. She currently serves as History Committee Co-Chair for the Harlem African Burial Ground Task Force.
